Mentoring for the best support

Since completing my training in 2023, I’ve chosen to engage in a mentoring program to provide you with the best support I can. We will benefit from the ongoing support of my doula mentor, and during this time, in return for some feedback, you can take advantage of my birth doula services for a reduced rate.

Birth Support

During your pregnancy we will all get to know each other and work out how best I can support you. This will look different for everybody, but I can provide information and antenatal education about what to expect from labour and birth, which will give you the confidence to advocate for yourself. I can settle first time nerves or talk about previous labours. Ultimately, we will explore what YOU need to feel safe enough to trust your body and feel into your instincts and intuition. I aim to be a constant, calming presence, enabling you to look forward to your birth without fear. It can also be so comforting for a birth partner to have the support of a doula - they are most definitely included in the bubble of support!

Mother, Baby, Birth, Doula, Birth support, Antenatal Education,
  • • 3 antenatal visits to your home, of roughly 2 hours each. We will use these to get to know each other, talk about yours and your partners’ hopes and wishes, discuss topics you would like more information about, such as birth physiology, breastfeeding information, pain management. We can then use this information to formulate your birth plan.
    • Phone/messaging support throughout pregnancy.
    • Being on call for you from 10 days before your due date, until your baby is born.
    • Continuous support during labour and birth.
    • Staying with you for the first hour or so following the birth (if you wish) to support you during your first feeds.
    • 1 postnatal visit to your home, of roughly 2 hours, in the first couple of weeks after your baby has been born, to find out how you are, catch up, and greet your new baby!

  • £1500
    (£1200 in 2024 and 2025 while mentored)

Postnatal Support

The postnatal period is a time to slow things down, take time to recover and enjoy your new baby, or babies! It is often referred to as the fourth trimester and although wonderful, it can sometimes feel overwhelming as it’s all so new. The importance of feeling supported and cared for postnatally should never be underestimated - it can have a massive impact on your health and happiness going forward.

My aim as a postnatal doula is to nurture you, as a new mother, so you in turn have the energy and confidence to nurture your baby and recover well. I will never take over, but rather seamlessly slot into your family, offering support where you feel it is needed!

    • light housework
    • preparing some healthy meals
    • entertaining older siblings
    • maybe even walking the dog!

My main aim will be to help you rest, and boost your confidence in your new role.

A Doula is an investment
in your wellbeing

Brighton, Sussex, Doula, Birth, Postnatal, Support

There is something hugely powerful in deciding to make this investment in your birth experience. After all, big costs are associated with other important things in your life, like a wedding, a big birthday, or even buying a pram. In hiring a doula, you are acknowledging that you and your partner deserve to be supported on, and after, one of the biggest days of your life, and that how you feel about yourself and your birth is absolutely worthy of time, energy, and money.

Having said this, if the cost is what is holding you back, please get in touch. It may be that I can offer payment plans or give you ideas of how to ask family and friends to contribute towards support.

Call or email me today to book in a free, no obligation meeting at your home to see if I would be the right fit for you.
